Surface Coating

Quality protection on every surface

Surface coating is provided for steel structures for wide and diverse sectors such as energy transmission and distribution, substations, telecommunication, lighting, transportation superstructure, buildings, steel constructions, automotive/automotive sub-industry, renewable energy with customer specifications and international standards.

Galvanizing

Hot dip galvanizing process is the most effective and permanent method to protect iron and steel against corrosion. Mitaş Industry has the latest technology and expertise to provide the highest quality galvanized coating for iron and steel structures.

Optional post treatment chemical applications are available after the galvanizing process, based on customer demands according to the usage and purpose. For some uses, initially duller surfaces are required. For this purpose, dulling is applied in these projects. Passivation applications are also carried out to minimize the occurrence of wet storage stain.

Our galvanizing facilities, equipped with fully automatic PLC controlled systems, are located in the cities of Ankara, Kocaeli and Izmir in Turkey. Our galvanizing facilities are equipped with systems for purifying process waters, scrubbing process gases and filtering zinc furnace dust, these systems help prevent the negative effects of the galvanizing process on the environment.

Environmentally Friendly Galvanizing Process

Galvanized coating controls and tests are carried out in accordance with various international standards such as EN ISO, ASTM, CSA and Dast 022, in accordance with customer requirements. Mitaş Industry carries out hot dip galvanizing in line with the integrated management system requirements covering ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, İSO 27001 and ISO 50001.

Powder Coating and Wet Paint

Mitaş Industry has Turkey's largest powder and wet coating hybrid facility. Our facility is operated fully automatically with a power-free conveyor system.

In our facility, all kinds of steel and galvanized structures with a length of 13 meters, a width of 2.2 meters and a height of 3 meters, as well as other metals such as aluminum are painted.

The applied powder coating and wet painting systems are carried out especially in accordance with EN-ISO 12944, DIN 55633 and BS EN 13438 standards.

Our facility is suitable for Duplex Systems (painting on galvanized steel).

Metallizing

Metallizing coating application is also available in our facility according to EN 2063 thermal spray standard. This coating is preferred for parts that cannot be hot dip galvanized due to their large size or have a chemical composition that may change during galvanization.

Sandblasting And Surface Preparation

Surface preparation is carried out according to EN ISO 8501 standard. During the surface preparation stage, there are two sandblasting units. Steel and galvanized surfaces are prepared using appropriate abrasives before coating.

At the same time, surface preparation is done by spraying method using nano technological chemicals in our automatic line with 6 cabins.

Environmentally friendly chemicals are preferred in our chemical surface preparation process.
